Training and Work Environment

All the Stara Boutique Hotels collaborators will be properly trained in matters regarding:

  • Disinfection and prevention
  • Knowledge and use of hygiene and sanitization products
  • Cleaning techniques according to materials, spaces and textures
  • Cleaning and disinfection methods in rooms and common areas

Space Redistribution and Adaptation

  • Every consumption center and common space has a maximum occupancy sign.
  • All of the restaurants and bars have a venue capacity of 30%.
  • Furniture placed to respect social distancing.
  • Visual signs that show the right social distance in mandatory areas.
  • There will be hand sanitizer available in every area.

Access Screening for Guests and Visitors

  • In order to access the facilities we ask you disinfect the shoe soles with the sanitizing mat.
  • We suggest the frequent hand washing and use of hand sanitizer.
  • We ask to maintain a 2 meters social distance between guests and workers.
  • Use of facemask in every common area of the hotel is mandatory.
  • We ask for your permission to take your temperature with an infrared thermometer.
  • Upon the arrival of guests and visitors we make a short screening survey.
  • We ask every guest and visitor to respect the social distance signaled throughout the hotel.
  • At the moment of the Check-In, the official documents and credit cards will be sanitized by the receptionist with a sanitizing liquid.
  • The room keycards will be previously sanitized and sanitizing liquid and packed in a bag to be given to the guest.
  • The concierge will isolate and sanitize the luggage before it enters the hotel.
  • The concierge cannot be in the elevator with the guest.
  • Inside every room there’s a health kit gifted by the hotel, that includes:
    • 1 facemask
    • 1 pair of gloves
    • 1 hand sanitizer
  • We ask every guest to read our health and hygiene rules located in all of the Suites, Stara TV Channel, Concierge, Front Desk and consumption centers with the following information:
    • Mandatory use of facemask in common areas.
    • Mandatory frequent hand washing and use of hand sanitizer throughout your stay.
    • Respect the 2-meter social distance in any area of the hotel, between guests and workers.
    • The guest must practice the respiratory etiquette in every area of the hotel.
    • It is highly advisable that every guest wears, preferably, closed-toe shoes.
    • We suggest guests to make their petitions, send their doubts and questions via phone in order to reduce the physical contact within the hotel.
    • We advise to use the transportation suggested by the hotel in order to reduce risks.
    • Limit of 2 people per elevator.

Screening for Collaborators

  • To access the facilities we ask them to sanitize their shoe soles in the sanitizing mat.
  • We suggest the frequent hand washing and use of hand sanitizer.
  • We ask them to respect the 2-meter social distancing between guests and collaborators.
  • Temperature checks with infrared thermometer.
  • We carry a daily health screening survey.
  • They put their uniform before entering the facilities and all of them must wear two pair of shoes, one pair to use outside and another for the hotel.
  • Strict use of hygiene kit provided by the hotel with the following items: 1 pair of gloves, 1 facemask, 1 face shield in case it is necessary, sanitizing gel.
  • Collaborators with any symptom cannot work at the hotel.
  • Practice the respiratory etiquette in every area of the hotel.
  • Mandatory distance in the dining and lockers area.

In-Suite Cleaning and Sanitizing Actions

Prior to the arrival of guests and diners:

All of the hotel facilities are fully sanitized following a strict plan of cleaning, hygiene and disinfection.

In the Room Division Area, our program shows that:

  • A maid cleans and disinfects the suite.
  • A second maid does the arrangement and finishes the suite.
  • The suite is inspected by the housekeeper using a strict Check List.
  • The bedsheet changing in the occupied rooms will be made daily or upon request by the guest (the guest can decide the frequency of the housekeeping and sanitizing or to ask us not to disturb during their stay).
  • Cleaning and disinfection of the suite:
    • Equipment and furnishings
    • Doors and windows
    • Door knobs, windows, furniture and lamps
    • Electric outlets and cables
    • Remote controls
    • Telephones
    • Mattresses with vaporization treatment
    • Bathroom, shower, WC, furniture and amenities
    • Walls
    • Fans
    • Daily cleaning process in air conditioners
  • All of the sanitizing is made with cleaning products and virucide, certified and endorsed by certified companies in Mexico and USA.
  • Once the guest leaves and checks out, the suite is blocked for at least 24 hours to be sanitized, aired and prepared to be used again.
